Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) penned another stunning chapter in what is now the longest winning career in the history of Grand Prix motorcycle racing at the ‘Cathedral’ of speed, as the number 46 took his 115th win in the Motul TT Assen Netherlands, more than 20 years after his first. Six hundredths of a second was the distance between victory and podium, as Rossi just headed
Italian compatriot Danilo Petrucci (Octo Pramac Racing) over the line. Reigning Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) Finished third.

At lights out, it was Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) who took the holeshot from his first ever pole position despite a better start from Marquez, and the Frenchman led the field away as Rossi took Petrucci for third. Behind was a mid-pack dogfight for fifth in the early stages of a race that would go
on to be a classic of MotoGP Reigning.

Daniel Ricciardo wins the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Daniel Ricciardo claimed a shock win for Red Bull in a controversial and incident-packed Azerbaijan Grand Prix which saw a major flashpoint between title rivals Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, but the German still extended his title lead as a loose head restraint cost the Briton victory.

Daniel Ricciardo wins crazy Azerbaijan GP as Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel clash
In a race that was chaotic from the opening lap and featured three safety cars and several crashes, including clashes between team-mates, Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen clashed while scrapping for second, Hamilton led through two Safety Car restarts and a full race restart following a
red flag period. It was just before the second Safety Car restart where the flashpoint occurred, with Vettel running into the back of Hamilton as he managed pace behind the Safety Car.

In a moment likely to become the most controversial of the 2017 F1 season, an irate Vettel then pulled up alongside Hamilton and drove into the side of his title rival, something which later earned the championship leader a 10-second stop-go penalty. The drama did not end there for Hamilton, as he was forced into an unscheduled pit-stop shortly after the final restart so Mercedes could secure his

car's headrest, which had come loose during the long wait in the pit lane.

Through all the drama Ricciardo, who had been forced into an early stop and had been 17th on lap six, rose through the order to lead. His drive back to the front included a ballsy lunge on the equally-impressive 18-year-old Canadian Lance Stroll mid-way through the race. Stroll held second until the final metres of the race, when he was caught and passed by Bottas, but still held on to a remarkable first podium of his F1 career. Bottas' podium came having been last and a lap down after his early tangle with Raikkonen.

Vettel finished ahead of Hamilton in fourth, with the Mercedes driver repeatedly questioning why Vettel only recieved a ten-second penalty. Esteban Ocon recovered from a disastrous collision with Force India teammate Sergio Perez to finish sixth as the team appeared to squander big points for the
second race in succession. Kevin Magnussen claimed seventh for Haas ahead of Carlos Sainz and the first points of the 2017 F1 season for McLaren's Fernando Alonso, who lamented during the race that the team could have won the crazy grand prix with a better power unit. Pascal Wehrlein rounded out the top ten ahead of Sauber teammate Marcus Ericsson.

The chaotic race was not limited to the top ten
Kimi Raikkonen spent much of the race in the wars, suffering damage in the early clash with Bottas
and then sustaining a puncture from debris at the mid-way point. Felipe Massa had been leading Williams teammate Stroll after the final restart but soon fell down the order with a car issue, eventually retiring. Nico Hulkenberg had appeared to be in a great position to attack for a first podium of his F1 career, but a brush with the wall ended his race prematurely on the streets of the capital of Azerbaijan Baku.
Well done for the good performance Ricciardo, Bottas and Stroll In the most spectacular race so far, of the 2017 F1 season.

Porsche win the Le Mans 24 Hours 2017

Porsche secured its 19th Le Mans 24 Hours win after a gruelling race of attrition, beating the best of the LMP2 and prevent a huge upset win for the lesser category Oreca team.

Veteran German driver Timo Bernhard led Porsche to a dramatic third straight win and a third successive triumph at the Circuit de la Sarthe, France.

In a race where only two of the LMP1 cars made it to the finish
After a series of mishaps to pre-race favorites Porsche and Toyota, the LMP2 category Oreca suddenly found itself in the lead with 19-year-old Frenchman Thomas Laurent behind the wheel three
hours from the end of the grueling endurance race.

But the 36-year-old Bernhard, racing in the faster and more powerful LMP1 category Porsche 919 Hybrid, overtook the Oreca with about 1 hour remaining. As the Porsche No. 2 crossed the finish line, there were scenes of relief in the Porsche garage as team members danced around holding up t-shirts with “Hat trick 2015, 2016, 2017” written on them.
Bernhard finished about one minute ahead of the Jackie Chan DC Racing team car, owned by the famed action movie star.

Bernhard also won the race in 2010 when driving for the dominant Audi team. It was a fantastic comeback win considering that the Porsche No. 2 was held up for more than one hour in the garage in the fourth hour of the race to replace a front axle-motor, earlier in the Le Mans 24 Hours 2017 sports car endurance race.

The Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, clinching their second title in three years and their fifth in team history,

Golden State grabbed the Game 5 lead with a 28-7 second quarter run, and despite pressure from the Cavaliers never gave it up during the final and cap a near-perfect run through the play-offs.

Kevin Durant wins 2017 NBA Finals MVP to go with his first championship

Durant is pretty happy with his decision to come to Oakland.
The Golden State Warriors won the 2016-17 NBA championship with a Game 5 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Kevin Durant led Golden State with 39 points, seven rebounds and five assists and was named NBA Finals MVP in a unanimous vote. He scored 30 or more points in all five Finals games. Durant said at the end of the final.

To be the best you have to beat the best, acknowledge your defeat Cavs and embrace it. Golden State

Warriors were the better team, congratulations
to the Warriors and much respect to Lebron James and Kevin Durant, he is a very mature guy. He accepts defeat gracefully as evidently shown when he embraced Durant at the end of the game. I recall him doing the same with Curry in 2015. He isn't a bad loser just a very gracious one. Big ups to Lebron and congrats to Golden State for winning the NBA championship.
Well played Warriors, well earned. Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green Golden State Warriors Party hard tonight and raise that trophy high you've earned it.

Lewis Hamilton wins the Canadian Grand Prix 2017

Lewis Hamilton dominated the Canadian Grand Prix and allowed him to cut his points deficit to Sebastian Vettel from 25 to only 12 points.

The Mercedes driver controlled the race from start to finish, leading home team-mate Valtteri Bottas,
Third place went to Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo while Vettel could finish only fourth in the Ferrari, his championship lead cut by half to 12 points in the F1 table.

Vettel dropped to the back when he needed to change his front wing, damaged almost instantly by Red Bull's Max Verstappen at the start of the race but he recovered well with some aggressive over taking on a two-stop strategy during the Canadian Grand Prix at Montreal.

Fantastic recovery drive from vettel got his head down and got on with it
Apart from turn 1, Vettel's drive was stunning today. In just 8 laps after the VSC, he overtook Wehrlein, Magnussen, Kvyat, Hulkenberg (who was on significantly fresher tyres), Vandoorne, Stroll
and Grosjean whilst also keeping his tyres in well during that whole stint. The move on Perez at the end was excellent and if the race was a lap longer he would have recovered all the way to the podium. Worth remembering the floor of his car was apparently damaged too. Great drive.

With 20 laps to go Force India were asking Perez to let Ocon by on his 13-lap fresher tyres, with the
promise that positions would be reversed if his attack was unsuccessful, but the Mexican wasn’t having it and begged to be allowed to race.

Lewis Hamilton wins his sixtth Canadian Grand Prix
Great race Lewis, Perfect weekend Personal achievement. 6 wins in Canada 56 wins in his F1 career (2nd all-time) Congratulations Lewis Hamilton What a weekend he's had well done.

I like it when is Daniel said I gotta do something then I can predict he will drink champagne from his shoe, just a thought but drinking out of a sweaty shoe with somebody's stinky feet in them for more than two hours Is a brave thing from Patrick Stewart. Please let Sir Patrick Stewart do all the podium interviews for the rest of the season. Thoroughly entertaining.

Rafael Nadal wins the Roland Garros 2017. For a 10th time In his career

Spain's Rafael Nadal made history by winning a record 10th French Open title with victory over Stan Wawrinka in the 2017 Roland-Garros Men's final in Paris.

Rafael Nadal, 31-year-old, came through 6-2 6-3 6-1 against the Swiss third seed Stan Wawrinka to claim his 15th Grand Slam title.

Nadal was overwhelmingly good from start to finish against Wawrinka in the final, and he becomes the first man or woman in the Open era to have won a Grand Slam tournament 10 times.
Wawrinka, 32-year-old, was beaten in a major final for the first time after winning his first three In his career. Wawrinka's firepower off both forehand and backhand had seen off world number one
Andy Murray in the semi-finals, but he could not dominate Nadal in the same way.

The Spaniard won the title for the loss of just 35 games over the course of seven matches.
What a way to make history both in Tennis and in sport overall. A 15th Grand Slam win, a record
10th French Open title (the first player to achieve that feat in any Grand Slam tournament) and another "La Decima" record after 10 titles in Monte Carlo and 10 titles in Barcelona. Way to go Rafa, he truly is the King of Clay for a reason, I just knew he could do it. Tough luck for Wawrinka, he had a great run too beating Murray in the semis and he didn't play that badly but Nadal had absolutely nothing to lose and was playing perhaps one of his best ever matches. Wish both players all the best for the rest of the season and all
Tennis lovers can't wait for Wimbledon to start.
Really enjoyed these two weeks of Tennis, see you again next year Roland Garros.

They all wrong again, no?
He is done. He is finished. He is over. He will never comeback. He is too old. He is too weak. His
should fire his coach. He can't hold a game. He can't win a set. He will never win another master series. He will never win a slam.  Nadal was just streets ahead of everyone else in the tournament.

Rafael Nadal moves above Pete Sampras on the list of all-time Grand Slam winners into second place behind Roger Federer, who beat the Spaniard to win his 18th at the Australian Open in January.
Only Australia's Margaret Court has more victories at a single Grand Slam tournament, with 11 Australian Open wins between 1960 and 1973.
The Open era, when the Grand Slam tournaments allowed professional players to compete with
amateurs, began in 1968.

Nadal untouchable in clay-court history his clay-court prowess as unassailable as ever.
Over the past two weeks en route to the final, Not only did Nadal win every set he played in the tournament, he dropped a total of only 35 games, the second fewest by any man on the way to any title at a Grand Slam tournament in the Open era with all matches being best-of-five-sets.
Securing a 10th title in Paris - La Decima, Nadal's place as the greatest clay-courter in Tennis history.

Nadal's 10 French Open final victories

2005 - beat Mariano Puerta (Argentina) 6-7 (6-8) 6-3 6-1 7-5

Andrea Dovizioso Wins the Gran Premi de Catalunya GP 2017

Italian Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) takes second win in a week and became the first rider for the Borgo Panigale factory to win back-to-back races in Ducati red since Casey Stoner - and moved himself up even closer to Championship leader Maverick Viñales in the points table.

Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) has taken an incredible second win of the season in the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya,  Reigning Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) finished in the second place, with his teammate - polesitter Dani Pedrosa – completing the rostrum.

DesmoDovi' takes back-to-back wins in a week.
Today we can say it was surprising performance from dovi it seems ducati is now gaining back That
competitiveness which it had since Stoner years.

Andrea Dovizioso, P1: “We realised the grip was so bad and the rear tyre consumption so high, that
we shouldn’t just focus on the speed. And when we started the race, no one could push because everyone had to save the tyre a lot. I overtook a few riders and was behind Dani, and decided to stay there. He saved the rear tyre well, and I did, but I was able to conserve the front. I didn’t know what was going on behind or if someone was able to catch us because our pace wasn’t very high. Ten laps to the end I tried to push but when I got to the front I realised my tyre was finished! But it was the same for them, too. It’s a strange feeling because I’ve never won by not pushing 100%! Well done Dovi Congratulations for winning the Grand Prix of Catalunya.

In the Moto GP points table Maverick Viñales continues to lead but only with seven points over Andrea Dovizioso, Marc Marquez, is third to 23. Fourth is Dani Pedrosa to 27 points and Valentino Rossi, fifth, to 28 points behind the leader.

Majestic Real Madrid win Champions League 2017

Real Madrid became the first team to retain the UEFA Champions League and secured their 12th European crown and Cristiano Ronaldo the first player to score in three finals, with a devastating 4-1 defeat of Juventus in Wales,Cardiff.

Juventus started the final at Millennium Stadium, in full of confidence, Gonzalo Higuaín forcing Keylor Navas into action twice in the first five minutes before Miralem Pjanić's stinging low shot was
superbly pushed away by the goalkeeper.

Madrid, however, are masters of the clinical counterattack, and proved that again in the 20th minute. In a superb fast break, Cristiano Ronaldo played in Dani Carvajal down the right and found the space to sweep the ensuing low cross beyond Gianluigi Buffon and inside the far post with the help of a deflection off Leonardo Bonucci.

Juve came back strongly, though, and within seven minutes they were level. Gonzalo Higuaín flicked back to Mandžukić 15 metres out and, with his back to goal he levelled with one of the great Champions League final goals, firing a sublime overhead kick beyond Real goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Real were unstoppable after the break, restoring their lead just through Casemiro's deflected shot before Ronaldo scored at the near post from a cross, Casemiro, Modric and Kroos outclassed the midfielder of Juventus Torino in second half, credit also goes to Zidane in bringing changes,

Real Madrid's French coach Zinedine Zidane has now won back-to-back Champions Leagues - as well as this
season's La Liga title - since he took charge in January 2016.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, and ended the night as Real's hero, winning his third Champions League winners' medal for the Spanish club and fourth in total, as the 32-year-old Portuguese continues to write new chapters in his glittering career.

On display in Cardiff were all the facets that make him an all-time great forward - pace, desire, anticipation, technique - as he helped Real Madrid dismantle a Juve defence that conceded just three goals in 1,080 minutes en route to the UEFA Champions League final.

Ronaldo's first was an instant sweeping finish beyond the outstretched right arm of the legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon while the second showed the touch of a poacher, moving like lightning beyond static Juve defenders to guide in an emphatic near-post finish.

Congratulations to Real Madrid for winning the 12th European crown. Hala Madrid.
